Christmas love

I don’t want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don’t care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree

I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas
Is you, you yeah

I don’t want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
And I don’t care about the presents
Underneath the Christmas tree

I don’t need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won’t make me happy
With a toy on Christmas Day

I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you
You baby

Oh, I won’t ask for much this Christmas
I won’t even wish for snow
And I’m just gonna keep on waiting
Underneath the mistletoe

I won’t make a list and send it
To the North Pole for Saint Nick
I won’t even stay awake to
Hear those magic reindeer click

‘Cause I just want you here tonight
Holding on to me so tight
What more can I do?
Baby all I want for Christmas is you,
You Baby

Oh, all the lights are shining
So brightly everywhere
And the sound of children’s
Laughter fills the air

And everyone is singing
I hear those sleigh bells ringing
Santa, won’t you bring me the one I really need?
Won’t you please bring my baby to me?

Oh, I don’t want a lot for Christmas
This is all I’m asking for
I just want to see my baby
Standing right outside my door

Oh, I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
Baby all I want for Christmas is
You, You baby

Santa Claus IS coming

Mrs. Claus woke Santa,
To get him out of bed,
Showed him all the letters,
That still were piled unread.

The elves were running everywhere,
Working night and day,
To wrap all of the presents,
That would fill Ol' Santa's sleigh.

Time was running out for them,
With many things to do,
Rudolph's bulb must be burned out,
No longer red, but blue.

Mrs. Claus near panicked,
Is Rudolph really sick?
Ah no, it's just another of,
A reindeer's corny tricks!

For when he takes his place in line,
To make a practice run,
He kicks his heels, his nose turns red,
It's just more reindeer fun.

The bells on harness have to be,
Polished to golden glow,
Checked for the sound of jingle,
As they fly across the snow.

Santa oversees the work,
As presents are piled high,
All in preparation for,
His trip across the sky.

But when he dons his suit of red,
He finds he has a problem,
Mrs. Santa wrings her hands,
Commences then to sobbing.

Santa's tummy is too big,
He's put on too much weight,
It has to be all the junk food...
Will Santa now be late?

Rudolph comes to the rescue,
Again he saves the day,
Points to a new red Santa suit,
That's offered on E-Bay!

With Overnight Express,
And the help of a charge card,
Santa's trip, is on again,
He'll show up in your yard.

So go to sleep on Christmas Eve,
Pleasant dreams to fill your head,
For Santa won't forsake you,
He's overweight, but still not dead!

Santa's First Stop

On Christmas Eve the other night I saw the most amazing sight. For there beneath the Christmas tree was Santa kneeling on his knee.

His countenance was different than that all-familiar, jolly grin; His head was bowed, with hand to breast, and slightly tucked into his vest.

For there in a Nativity was Jesus and His family. And as I heard him start to pray I listened close to what he'd say...

"Lord, You know that You're the reason I take pleasure in this season. I don't want to take Your place, but just reflect Your wondrous grace.

I hope You'll help them understand I'm just an ordinary man, who found a way to do Your will by finding kids with needs to fill.

But all those centuries ago, there was no way for me to know that they would make so much of me, and all the gifts beneath the tree.

They think I have some hidden power granted at the midnight hour, but it is my love for You inspiring the things I do.

And so when they begin to open gifts for which they have been hoping, may they give You all the glory, for You're the One True Christmas Story.
